 I worked on laying out how I want the collages to look like. I think that these are more base layers and that I will have more layers on each "layer" just in the same color to give it more detail and depth. I still need to figure out how I want to separate the main layers from each other. Plexiglass? Something semi-sheer like vellum? Though that might be a little too sheer.

I'm not sure I ever imagined myself making a picture of bird poop but here we are.

I did not make the final panel because it will be very similar to the second, just with a plant. growing and probably a new bird coming in to eat fruit.

 I have been working mostly at finding oahu landscape images for reference photos and have begun to map out a general idea of what I want the layered collage pieces to look like.

Some things I have to figure out

• What colors to use (monochrome or multiple colors?)
• How many different shades/colors to use
• How many layers I want
• What materials would be best for both creating and displaying these collages

I have been sketching digitally so that I can build separate layers get still see how they all work together easily. This one is approximately half done.
