Idea Generating

Ideas from Becky as to what could be useful/pertinent:

Conceptual diagrams:

• How Hawaii and seed dispersal had changed over time
• Species interactions
• Seed dispersal loop
• Novel ecosystem
• Something showing different sites/elevation/invasion gradient
Brainstorming ideas (all essentially just starting places, definitely not final plans)

1. Something showing species interactions? Bird made up of plant species it interacts with?
2. It could be interesting to do a picture with all the native bird species of Oahu and then fade each extinct bird out individually. With the idea of the songs (from email link), it could also be interesting to use only birds with known recordings with them overlapping at first then disappearing as the birds disappear but that probably would be harder/much more complex to do.
3. Some sort of collage involving the seed dispersal cycle that also somehow shows how it can end up stopping if dispersers are taken out.
